I’ve had a really great experience at this gym. Everyone is friendly and makes you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. The workouts are challenging but enjoyable, and I always leave feeling accomplished. It’s a great environment to stay consistent and work toward your fitness goals. Highly recommend!
I have been attending sessions at Impulse Fitness for a few months now. When I first started almost everything was difficult. Now after my Sunday morning mobility sessions and personal training sessions I have improved beyond what I thought possible. John is very patient and explains how to do the exercises as well as “why” the exercises are necessary to achieve my goals.MT
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I’ve trained at a lot of gyms, and this one is by far my favorite. It’s always clean, the equipment is in great shape, and the vibe makes you actually want to come back.John, the owner, is a big reason why this place stands out. He’s a genuinely good guy who cares about the people who walk through the doors. He’s always around, says hello, and has built a gym that feels welcoming instead of intimidating. If you’re looking for a place with great people and a solid atmosphere, I’d definitely recommend checking it out.
John has supported me with nutrition for the entire year and helped me lose 20 pounds that I’ve been able to keep off. What really set him apart was his insight into regulating my nervous system. I didn’t realize how much I was living in survival mode until I started working with him & that shift is what made my results sustainable!Alison’s group classes are also a blessing. She brings so much heart and energy into every session. You can tell she truly loves her work, and I’m so thankful she’s part of Impulse.
10/10 – Absolutely Outstanding Gym!Impulse Fitness has been a total game-changer for me. John and Allie are incredible — knowledgeable, welcoming, and genuinely invested in helping everyone hit their goals. The classes are always fun, challenging, and well-structured, and you can tell the trainers put real thought into every session. What truly sets this gym apart is the community. The people who attend are friendly, supportive, and create such a positive atmosphere. It took me a long time to find a gym that felt like the right fit, and I’m so grateful I finally found it here. Impulse Fitness is an amazing place to train, stay motivated, and feel part of something great.Highly recommend! 💯💪
YOU NEED TO TRY THIS GYM TO TRULY FEEL THE TRANSFORMATION!! What I love most is the focus on the mind-body connection—it’s a key part of John’s philosophy.I'm in my 40s and have a few injuries, and I had taken a break from the gym before joining “Impulse Fitness and Wellness”. From day one, John has been incredibly knowledgeable and consistently supportive. He carefully adapts the exercises to fit my limitations, always knowing when to push and when to encourage.John designs absolutely awesome programs that keep things exciting and effective, which is a big part of what makes this gym special. Each class is broken into three stations. There’s something about the way John structures the sessions—once I finish the first station, I somehow find myself powering through to the last. It’s a flow I’ve never experienced in any other fitness class before. John changes the workouts regularly, keeping us challenged and engaged, so it never gets boring or repetitive. It's clear he genuinely wants each of us to succeed. The environment at this gym is incredibly encouraging and fun. From day one, I felt welcomed and supported—not just by John, but by my fellow gym members too. My gym buddies are amazing; they hold me accountable and make the whole experience even more enjoyable. What really impresses me is how attentive he is—no matter where I am in the gym, he notices if I need help and comes over to correct my form without hesitation. That kind of attention to detail makes all the difference. This gym has completely changed how I feel about fitness. I’m stronger, more motivated. No matter how I feel walking in, I always leave with a huge smile and actually look forward to working out.THIS GYM IS A GAME CHANGER – TRY IT FOR YOURSELF AND WATCH THE RESULTS SPEAK!
When I was first looking around for gyms, I was overwhelmed by choices. There’s so many in the area and I didn’t know what to look for.I was only 35 but I had been suffering from injuries for years from years in the Army and as a government contract worker. I couldn’t even do a basic squat without pain and if I attempted a workout that involved anything lower body, I would be stuck with pain for the whole week, if not more. I could lift weights and run, but I was embarrassed of how limited my mobility had become. I thought surgery was my only option and dreaded what the process and recovery might look like. Instead I wanted to try one more gym.I chose Impulse Fitness for two reasons - 1) I saw how positive the reviews were and the success of other clients and 2) I saw the dogs in the gym picture and liked the vibe. When I first went in, I had a consultation with John and outlined my concerns and my embarrassment at what I had become. John was non-judgemental and listened to everything I had to say. He let me know I wasn’t alone and we drew up a plan for some private lessons and I hit the gym that week. The first few lessons were so basic and yet I felt good after every session. I knew John wasn’t someone who was selling empty promises - He was a pro who could help me.6 month later, I can’t believe the progress I’ve been able to make. John is probably the most knowledgeable guy I’ve met - he has an answer for every problem. I love the unique blend of mind-body connection that he teaches, and I’m proof that his system works. My mobility has increased far beyond what I was able to do before and it’s better than it’s ever been. I can now squat with ease and even do it with weight. Im doing exercises I thought I would never be able to do again. John and Impulse Fitness have been instrumental in my recovery and it’s given me a huge part of my life and my identity back.If you’re struggling, and you’re looking for a non-judgemental place with knowledgeable instructors who are willing to listen to you, work with you, and build you back up - Impulse Fitness is the place to go. I promise you it’s worth it. Life changing. Thanks John!
I have been going to Impulse Fitness since the beginning of December 2024 for strength training and was very attracted to the mobility components that they offer. The knowledgeable staff are very informed and helpful. I have already seen a huge difference in not only my physical appearance but my strength, confidence and overall well being. I can not give John, Rae and their team enough thanks.
I've been going to Impulse Fitness for about 1.5 years now, and I found more then a gym. I found a community, a lifestyle, a place to unwind, recharge and get fit. I attend mostly the evening classes, and occasionally the morning sessions. Great coaches - Rae and John are great. Everyone's looking out for one another here. It’s a place where you can truly thrive, whether you’re just starting out or are seasoned.
I was looking for a gym where it wasn't just a go in and workout and leave. This is the best gym I've been to. It's more then a gym its a community. Everyone who attends the classes are always willing to help and are very friendly. Not only that but both Rae, and John have alot of knowledge that they are always willing to share not only talking to them, but also the workshops that are organized are very informative and helpful in progressing to the individuals fitness goals and equipping you with the information so you can apply them to the workouts. As well as it's a 24 hours so there is no excuse not to go. It's better then any club16 or anytime fitness. Sign up you won't regret it.
I started going to this gym to help gain strength and lose some weight. John provided me with some meal planning ideas and I gained more than just strength. I got to do a variety of exercise's, every day of the week was different and every month the trainers changed up the routines. Never boring. John and Rae definitely understand each individual works at their level for that day. Rae and John are great and all the clients are incredibly supportive and kind. Never felt out of place.
Coming to these gym classes is the best investment in myself!!! I was super nervous at first but John makes it so fun and gets you working out at a pace that suits you. Everyone in the class is very friendly and cheers each other on! I’m already noticing a difference in my body, energy and mood. I highly recommend impulse fitness!! Looking forward to what my body will be like in the months to come!
Where do I begin with Impulse Fitness and the incredible people who run it and work there., John and Rae. These people are so much more than coaches, they are so kind and understanding, caring and genuine. I have so many issues that stem from being overweight and they took their time to try and correct it all, even my mental health by teaching breathing exercises, to help calm the stress. I cannot recommend this place enough. Unfortunately we have to move too far away to be able to come to this gym anymore, so can no longer go. Please check them out, you will not be disappointed! I will truly miss them!
Amazing!I came to impulse fitness for their functional strength training program to find a new approach to fitness, and i was so happy with the results. Their program's focus on functional strength has given me a new view on fitness, which helped me improve in my day-to-day activities since I have enough energy to do them. The establishment's team was very supportive and inclusive, and has definitely helped me reach my goal!Definitely recommend this program for anyone looking into alternative personal training and taking their fitness journey to the next level!
THIS GYM IS THE BEST! I brought my dad in for training with John because he has really bad back, neck and shoulder pain. John was able to break down exactly where the pain was coming from and created an amazing treatment plan for my dad. He showed my dad multiple things he can do at home to exercise every day and also recommended different products that would help him as well.He also gave us tips on how my dad can eat better to control his blood sugar. My dad honestly felt better after even just one session. I’m looking forward to bringing him in for his sessions as his strength and mobility improves with John’s help!!!I’m also looking forward to joining the gym classes myself soon! The gym is also very clean and amazing equipment! So thankful to have found these guys!! If you want to improve your strength and get in better shape, I’d highly recommend these guys at Impulse Fitness!
They were close by, so I decided to give it a shot after using my new parenthood as an excuse for too long. I signed up for a couple dozen individual sessions with John, and I think it was one of the best decisions. He catered to my personal goals and helped me get back in workout shape. I also joined the group classes and I love the chill atmosphere with good motivation. Highly recommend you give it a shot!
I had 2 rotator cuff surgeries about 40 years ago that weren't successful. My movements were severely restricted and painful.I could no longer play golf or weight train.A chance meeting with John and he said he could improve my mobility with deep tissue massage.Fast forward and my mobility has improved immensely. No replacement surgery necessary. I have also dropped about 13lbs.. Thanks John.
I came across Impulse when I was looking for a gym to help my dad with getting active again and reducing some pain. John and his extensive knowledge were a perfect fit! I can not thank John enough for getting my dad moving again and not only that, but also highlighting and helping me with some of my own mobility issues. Highly recommend this gym and John!
Cleanest gym i have been to (i have been to many), people and coaches are amazing and you feel like part of the family when you get there!! The red light therapy in the gym and upstairs area are so good!!! I am enjoying the gym time so much and i feel like i am training hard and recovering there at the same time
John has been a blessing to our family. His program and gym have been so beneficial to Keith. John is very service minded and strives to make your time as beneficial as possible. He is so knowledgeable and his team is amazing as well.
I wish I could give a 100 star review. I have multiple cancers one being cancer in my spine which makes movement very difficult. I was at the end of my rope and made a random post about my struggles on Facebook. John reached out to me and asked me to come see if he could help me. I reluctantly went to his gym, and let me tell you that day changed my life. John started working with me to help get mobility. I have been working with him for 8 months and he has literally saved my life. He helps me to reactivate nerves to help with the pain. I haven’t had to use my walker in six months. I honestly believe John saved my life and I tell everyone to search him out as you won’t be disappointed. Him and his staff are amazing and they truly care
I can't recommend this gym enough for people. Whether you're looking to get back into shape or are rehabbing from an injury, John and Rae are the best at what they do. Having trained personally with both of them, they helped me regain confidence to get back to working out after tearing my rotator cuff and injuring my back. They train on how to lift and exercise safely, focusing on the long term goals and health of their clients. My form and core stability are the best they've ever been. This is what separates them from other gyms, where you are treated like a cheque book. John and Rae genuinely care about their clients and their care extends past your one hour session.
I have to give a shout out to my amazing trainers John & Rae! Working with them has been incredible. I came in with the goal of losing weight and toning up. But, let me tell you, John & Rae have delivered on every front. Not only have I seen remarkable results in terms of shedding fat, but I can confidently say that I am in the best shape of my life entering into my 50s. Their personalized workout programs have pushed me beyond my limits and helped me achieve goals that I never thought were possible. But what truly sets John & Rae apart is their expert knowledge in injury rehab. I had been struggling with a nagging knee pain for years as well as my rotator cuff injury and low back pain I sustained from my car accident, and they helped with my healing process. It's incredible to have finally found someone who understands the intricacies of different injuries and how to incorporate exercises that promote recovery. I have medical coverage that covers massage, Physio, and chiro, and that didn't help me as much as John & Rae. They are definitely worth the investment!
